• An article about health drinks compared them with lemonade and cola and said that a 500ml bottle of Coke contained 35g of sugar. In fact it has rather more – 53g. The article was headlined Sweet stuff: Let's not kid ourselves. Some so-called health drinks contain more sugar than a bottle of Coke. The updated figure means this assertion is no longer supported by the piece (31 March, page 16, G2).
• A column recalled the days when Guardian headlines often dealt in "terrible puns" and gave an honourable mention to "The biggest asp disaster in the world". It erred, however, in saying this headline appeared on a review of the 1963 film Cleopatra, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The film in question was Charlton Heston's 1972 Antony and Cleopatra (We won't be taken for a ride, cabbies, 26 March, page 17).
• Spaniards keep their nose to the grindstone longer than some other Europeans, putting in 1,775 hours at work each month, an article said. That should have been each year (Debunking stereotypes, 1 April, page 26).
