£30,000 reward was offered by Hampshire police in search for killer
A 32-year-old man was has been charged with the torture and murder of an elderly woman more than three years ago.Georgina Edmonds, 77, was bludgeoned to death at her home in Brambridge, near Otterbourne, Hampshire, on 11 January 2008.
Matthew Hamlen, of Eastleigh, has been charged with her murder, Hampshire police said. He will appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Edmonds was found dead by her son Harry and a family friend after he came home from work.A post-mortem examination found she died from extensive head injuries.
A £30,000 reward was offered by police in the hope of finding her killer.
