• A feature about BBC radio's Today programme referred to Jenny Abramsky as the current director of radio instead of as a former holder of that post among others. It also gave 1993 as the year presenter John Humphrys joined Today. That should have been 1986 ('You can't be cheeky or too opinionated', 26 May, page 4, G2).
• Looking at a breakdown of people stopped and searched at ports and airports in 2009-10 under schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000 – where a person can be held regardless of whether an officer has grounds to suspect involvement in terrorism – a story said the likelihood was up to 42 times greater that people from Asian and other minority backgrounds would be stopped compared with white people. At one point later in the story, however, our encapsulation went awry when it restated this finding as "42 times as many Asians are stopped as white people" (Asians 42 times more likely to be held under terror law, 24 May, page 1).
• In an opinion piece about French media attitudes to sexual harassment – linked to the Dominique Strauss-Kahn case where more serious charges are pending – commentator Franz Olivier Giesbert was identified as being from the magazine L'Express. That should have been Le Point (A game only one side plays, 23 May, page 26).
