• An interview with Marine Le Pen suffered a substantial editing failure that led to nearly 20 lines of text relating to her views of the Front National's approach to antisemitism and Islamophobia appearing twice in the last two columns of the article (Le Pen fille is riding a new wave of popularity. But has her party changed?, 22 March, page 26).

• In a story reporting on the new role of Andy Coulson, the former News of the World editor and No 10 communications director, we incorrectly stated that the agency Euro RSCG was responsible for a Conservative party advertising campaign that showed a photograph of David Cameron "which was first thought to have been airbrushed but actually showed Cameron's naturally smooth skin". It was created by a different agency (Coulson falls on his feet with new PR role, 22 March, page 8).

• In an interview with Nadja Benaissa, the Frankfurt-born pop star charged under German law with failure to disclose HIV-positive status before having unprotected sex, we stated that "there is no equivalent law in the UK". To clarify: there is no specific statutory offence, but charges of grievous bodily harm have been brought against individuals in similar circumstances under the Offences against the Person Act (I knew I was HIV positive, 19 March, page 56, Weekend)

• Homophone corner: "He defends an important principal of the original national curriculum (Yesterday's curriculum won't do for today, 22 March, page 2, Education).
