• Derek "Del Boy" Trotter, central character in the long-running television series Only Fools and Horses, conducted his business either from home, from the Nag's Head, "or in the back of his little Robin Reliant with its 'Trotters Independent Trading Co' sign", according to an obituary piece about the sitcom's creator, John Sullivan. Leaving aside that flipping of the Reliant Robin's name, the Trotter family's emblematic vehicle and signage – "New York, Paris, Peckham" – was, as per an accompanying photograph, a splendid yellow Reliant Regal Supervan (25 April, page 32).

• In what might well have been, in other circumstances, a commendable effort to avoid the pitfall of referring to "Britain" when a subject actually concerns England alone, a caption in our latest Pictures of the week photo spread renamed the 1951 Festival of Britain as the Festival of England (Eyewitnessed, 23 April, pages 22-23).
