Woman, 55, survives but her husband, mother and two teenage foster sons die
The four family members killed when their car plunged into the 30-metre deep Bwlch y Gle dam in Llanidloes, in mid Wales, were named by police as Emyr Glyn Griffith, 66, from Pontypridd, his mother-in-law, Phyllis Iris Hooper, 84, and his foster sons, Peter Briscome, 14, and Liam Govier, 14.
His wife, Denise, 55, who was driving, survived after their car was apparently clipped by another car.
A man, 23, has been bailed on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Dyfed-Powys police have appealed for witnesses to an incident between the two vehicles.
