Corrections and clarifications

• A film feature about the phenomenon of the recut-of-the-recut of the director's cut confused certain release dates and formats. In the case of Blade Runner – which originally came out in 1982 – the director's cut was shown in cinemas in 1992, not on DVD as we had it. For The Last Picture Show of 1971 vintage, the director's cut was released in 1992 as video, not DVD (Cut loose – the director strikes back, 8 April, page 3, Film & Music).

• A note of contrition appears in today's Money, page 6, regarding the section of Saturday 2 April, where an old set of mortgage data was republished by accident among the Best buys, page 9.

• Listing some prime bits of political invective, a column included Aneurin Bevan's barb "desiccated calculating machine" – but went astray by spelling it dessicated. Desiccated: from the Latin siccus, dry (You chose to be coalition arm-candy so accept it, Nick: you are a punchbag, 8 April, page 35).
